How We Work

Six steps from brief to print-ready file

Whether it is one flyer or a campaign set, the route is the same — and it ends with files that actually work at the printer.

01 Brief

Pin down the one thing it must say

Every piece has one job. We agree the single message, the audience, the format and the deadline before opening a design tool — most weak design is a weak brief.

02 Direction

Agree the look before the work

A short moodboard — colour, type, imagery and two or three references. Five minutes here saves a full round of revisions later, because taste gets settled before craft starts.

03 Layout

Build the hierarchy in grey

Composition first, in plain boxes. What does the eye hit first, second, third? If the order is wrong at this stage, no amount of colour will fix it later.

  • Reading order

Make the finished artwork

The layout gets its type, colour, imagery and finish. Same composition, now with the craft on top — and every element still doing the job the brief set it.

05 Adapt

Resize for every placement

One design rarely lives in one shape. We rebuild it properly for each placement — a story is not a flyer with the sides chopped off, and it should not look like one.

Export files that actually print

Bleed, trim and safe area set properly, CMYK for print and RGB for screen, fonts outlined, at the resolution your printer asked for. The last step is where most design goes wrong.

FAQ

Common questions about design work

A single social creative from an agreed template is same or next day. A brochure or pitch deck is a week or two depending on how ready the content is.

We will tighten and rewrite what you give us so it fits the design and reads properly. Writing from a blank page is a separate piece of work and we quote it separately.

Yes, and we prefer it. Send the brand book and the source files. Where the guidelines are silent on something we ask rather than invent.

Yes. Tell us the printer and we set bleed, trim, colour profile and resolution to their spec. If they reject a file for a technical reason, we fix it at no charge.

One full round is included, which covers most jobs. Further rounds are charged, and we tell you before starting them rather than after.

Yes, on every job. You should never be in a position where changing one word means coming back to us because nobody else can open the file.
